The November 8, pot luck will have a German theme. The German Fest will be the first test for the new pot luck sign-up process . Fran Drisko and Liz Mongrain will be hostesses for the event and take your calls to record what you will bring. There will be a $2.50 charge for the event to help cover the music. The $2.50 will be  collected with the registration for other events listed on the November sign-up sheet.

Cocktails start at 5:00 pm followed by dinner at 6:00 pm. The Polka Plus Band will play from 7:00 pm — 9:00 pm.

Raffle for Defibrillator Fund

Roxanna Jo Alexander who teaches watercolor classes at the clubhouse on Friday’s has donated a an original watercolor, Royal Blossoms, for a defibrillator fund raffle. Tickets for the raffle are $5.00 and may be purchased in advance or at the German Fest. The watercolor can be viewed at the clubhouse.

Walking Trails

The results of the recent vote on the future of our walking trails showed a majority of those voting prefer to eliminate additional trails and pave the existing ones. Craig Lang from Westminster Homes meet with the Heritage Pines Advisory Board on October 23 to present the results.
The developer has presented the Town of Cary with the results of the vote and the Cary planning staff has agreed to permit the change in the Master Plan. A date has not been set to begin the improvements to the existing walking trails.

Wanted: Pictures

We would like to borrow pictures of homeowners and family members who served in the U.S. military. If you have pictures you would like us to include in a Veterans’ Day display at the clubhouse, please get them to us by November 3.

Bus Book

The new sign up pages will available on Tuesday, October 28 at 9:30 am. 
The book will be divided by the week and each week will be placed in a different
area of the Clubhouse.
