Hot Off  The Press

 

 

Spring Cook-Out Time Change

There has been an overwhelming response for the cook-out this Saturday, 4/24. Thanks to Bob & Mary Hodes, no limit has been set for attendance. Food will be served from 5-7 (there will be plenty for all), and it will be held rain or shine. You can eat inside or outside (weather permitting).

Morning Social

During the month of May, a new morning social will be held Monday mornings at 10:30 in the clubhouse. Coffee and tea will be provided. This will be an opportunity to get to know your neighbor, share information about Cary, the Triangle area and the services available in the area.

Community Yard Sale

Mark your calendar, Saturday, May 15 from 8:00 am until 12 noon for the community yard sale. Now is the time to clean out your closets and garages. All homeowners are invited to participate. The sale will be held at your homes. There will be no selling at the clubhouse.
There will be a small fee to cover the cost of advertising and balloons. Balloons will be tied to your mailbox post to indicate who is participating in the sale. There is a sign up sheet in the clubhouse for those who wish to join in on the event. Please call Peggy Sheaffer if you have any questions.

Country Western Night

Saturday, May 22 we will have a special evening with great food, music and local entertainment. Barbeque ribs and chicken with all the fixings will be on the menu, Paul Minnis and Deborah Trauley will be here to provide the dancing and listening music. The HP Squares and HP Liners will take time to show their special dances. Cocktails start at 5:30 pm (BYOB) followed by dinner, entertainment and dancing. The cost will be $12.50 and the deadline for reservations is 12 noon, May 10th, first come first serve seating is limited.

Memorial Day

Please join us on Monday, May 31 at 9:30 am as we “gather around the flagpole” in front of the clubhouse There will be a short ceremony of Remembrance. You are invited to coffee, tea and pastries in the clubhouse with your neighbors following the ceremony.
 

Community Meeting about the Carpenter Property

On Wednesday, April 28 at 6:00 pm we will have a meeting in the clubhouse with Jerry Turner & Associates, Inc. to update us on the modified plan for the Carpenter land that abuts our property to the north. Everyone is invited to attend.

Deadline for Paying for Bus Trip

A new policy has been established for payment of bus trips. You must pay when you sign-up in order to hold your seat. If you sign-up and do not pay, you will be bumped by the next person on the waiting list. If the bus does not have enough people, the trip will be cancelled 10 days prior to the date of the trip. Thank you for your help with this new procedure.

Newcomers to the Community

Vocal Motion from SAS were singing and dancing in the clubhouse creating a
wonderful evening for all who attended.

Heritage Pines Liners donned their top hats and danced at Spring Arbor in Apex. Shown in the picture are Sue Brescia, Carolyn Padley, Peggy Sheaffer, Gloria Madigan, Norma Curran and Alice Cassimatis.
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny was a colorful hit at the clubhouse.
The Easter Bunny and our Yellow Chick created lots of excitement and joy for the grand children of our homeowners. Everyone had a great time.
