Hot Off  The Press

Travel Club

Don & Audrey Duck will be hosting a travel meeting on Wednesday, April 12th at 3:30 pm for anyone interested in taking trips: local, overnight or overseas. It is a time for you to learn more about current travel opportunities offered in the area and to share you best travel tips with others. Sign up by Monday, April 10th so they will have enough handouts.

Drawing Class

The Friday morning art class is offering drawing classes based on the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. This is an  opportunity for everyone to learn to draw - you need no previous experience. Please bring a #2 pencil and a soft eraser. Men and women are welcome. They will also be using the video based on this book. The classes start on April 14th at 9:00 am. Please sign up as space is limited.

Pool Opens

April 15th is the opening date for the pool. You can use your new keys to enter and exit the pool this year. Water aerobics will begin in May with 2 classes 4 mornings per week.

Ladies Lunch

Minnette Carter and Virginia Smith have planned a very special
luncheon for you on April 18. They will have retired flower arranger, Bev Gelety to share her flower arraigning secrets. The Grilled Chicken salad & fruit salad will be catered by Panera Bread.

Included in your lunch will be fresh vegetables and dip, beverages and dessert.

Reservations must be made by Monday, April 3rd.

Pot Luck &
Lucky Charms Quartet

Saturday night fun. On April 22nd bring a pot luck dish to share and enjoy the music of the Lucky Charms Quartet. RSVP by April 17th, cost $2. You need to contact Carolyn Padley with the dish you will bring.

Community Yard Sale

Gayle McKernie is in charge of the community yard sale. It is being held on Saturday, April 29th from 8 am—12 noon. She will run an ad in the Cary News on Thursday and the N&O on Friday. The cost will be $2 per family to cover the signs, advertising and balloons. Please give your money to Gail when you register by 4/24.
