Hot Off  The Press

Rhythm and Blues Night

On Saturday, April 28, come to the clubhouse and enjoy a feast prepared by Danny’s Bar-B-Que and then listen and dance to the music of the Countdown Quartet. This group gave us a great performance in January, 2006.

Steve Grothmann, son of HP residents Nan & Bill Grothmann, heads the group. The cost is $18.50 per person. The meal will include dry rub ribs, sliced smoked turkey, baked beans, potato salad, rolls, banana pudding, and iced tea. Two sauces for the meat will be provided on the side—one sweet & one hot.

You don’t have to worry about the food being spicy unless you choose it that way. The doors will open at 5:30 pm, dinner will be served at 6:00, and the music will wail from 7:00—9:00. Seating is limited to 80 people. The deadline to register is noon, Monday, April 9.

Ladies Luncheon and Funky Fashion Show

The April Ladies’ Pot Luck lunch will be held on Tuesday, April 17 at 12:30 pm in the clubhouse. Alice Cassimatis, the 12th hour host, has planned a ”one of a kind” fashion show for your enjoyment.
Deadline for signing up is noon, Monday, April 16. Registration is limited to 80.

Information Center

In addition to the bulletin boards in the clubhouse hallway and arts & crafts room, a new rack for forms and extra newsletters has been installed next to the office doorway. Please make use of these information aids.

Duplicate Bridge

Mary Ellen Heller is the host for 1st Tuesday duplicate bridge.

New Refund Policy

A new refund policy for paid events will take effect April 1, 2007. Please see the two (2) separate pages inside the newsletter. These are the detailed refund policy announcement and the refund request form.

Pool Opening

The clubhouse pool will open on Saturday, April 14. The pool is heated, and the hours are dawn to dusk. Please sign in on the clipboard in the pool entrance to the clubhouse. The pool rules are enclosed in the newsletter. Please remember to use your badges..
