Ladies Luncheon
featuring Rex Hospital
Volunteer Opportunities
Our guest speaker will be
Lois Copeland, from Rex Hospital Volunteer Services. She will bring samples of the many items
volunteers make for the hospital
patients.

The luncheon will be on Tuesday, June 19th, at 12:30 pm. The cost is $9.75 per person and the deadline for registering is noon, Monday 6/4. Lunch will be catered by The Food Factory of Cary. The buffet will
include assorted deli sandwich
platters which include deli
sandwiches, subs, wraps, focaccia bread, croissants and Kaisers. The fillings include turkey & cheese, ham & cheese, roast beef & cheese, chicken salad, tuna salad, Italian combo, turkey, ham & cheese and turkey salami & cheese.

Also included on the buffet will be fresh fruit and cole slaw. For dessert, sheet cake will be served.
This program and luncheon is
being chaired by Fran Dusterhoff, Margaret Pritt and the rest of The Needle People of Heritage Pines.

Festive Forth of July
Fourth of July will be an all day event. 12:30 pm Hot Dogs and Hamburgers will be served hot off the grill in front of the clubhouse. Baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad and chips will be included. Then at 3:30 pm watermelon slices will be available. From 6:30—9:30 pm Randall Callahan & the Dixie Land Band will play music for your
listening or dancing enjoyment. The cost for this all day event is $8.00 and the deadline for signing up is June 11th. You will need a paid ticket to attend all or part of these events. This event is being subsidized by the Social
Committee.

Heritage Pines Book Club

Heritage Pines Book Club will not meet in the month of June. Our next date will be Tuesday, July 3. Linda Thompson will call members when the July books are available, sometime in early June. All residents who enjoy reading and discussing literature are
encouraged to join us. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 1:00 pm in the clubhouse. Any questions please contact Linda..

Alice Cassimatis, always on the “run” is wearing her spring nylon creation.   Janet Petruccione wearing her metallic dress, that comes in handy when freezing food and Carolyn Padley in her eye-catching tea outfit, most tea gowns are imported.   Models for the April Ladies Funky Fashion Show: Alice Cassimatis (script writer also), Drue Anderson (brushed wool), Sue Brescia (toast), Barb Harcharic (garden), Merlyn Muth (see a sucker), Carolyn Padley (tea), Janet Petruccione (metallic), Sandy Ramsey (wrap-around), Evelyn Richards (tissue gingham), Nancy Skelding (picnic). Thanks ladies for making fashion lots of fun.   Evelyn Richards in her tissue gingham gown, important during spring head colds, waits in line with Sue Brescia who is wearing this season’ favorite color—toast and Nancy Skelding in her picnic outfit.   Nancy White black & white print dress, an economical budget pleaser –50 cents and Barb Harcharic dressed for a garden party.   Jeannette Martin, Saundra Robertson and Cathy Clark (part of the Muir Brook Girls Club) love a party and they always have fun.   The Count down Quartet — who will be missed as they are disbanding, everyone has always enjoyed their music.   The Rhythm & Blues Committee: Mickey Brescia, Drue Anderson, Merlyn Muth, and Don Matthews; Marianne Heaton, Sue Brescia, Pat Hajian, Saundra Epps, Lou Ann Steffey and Nan Grothmann; Audrey Schmidt, Art Heaton, Warren Schmidt,  Margaret Fox, Jerry Steffey, Chris Matthews, John Epps, Nell Naughton and Bill Grothmann - may cheers to a job well done - THANK YOU   Clare and Bob Cady—”cut a rug” on the dance floor.
