A Note from the President The Pool opened on schedule ! A lot of you must have been very happy as it was busy Saturday and Sunday and the weather co-operated.
The wall between the card room and the

the The Clubhouse committee is working hard on the "Grand Opening." Be sure and mark your calendars for the date so you won’t miss it. Thank you for your patience, we truly believe it will be worth the wait. The first social event for the Spring was this past weekend at the new refinished pool. Greetings,
Mowing is now in full swing and we are mowing
every week. We will be mowing the property on Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday (weather permitting). If we get rain during the week, our schedule
may be adjusted. We keep the HOA informed of any adjustments that we make
due to poor weather conditions.
During mid April, we applied our round II turf
fertilizer consisting of a pre emergent herbicide, post emergent herbicide
and liquid nitrogen fertilizer. Overall, we are once again happy with the
results from our over seeding and aerating process from last fall. Our
nutrient program will continue to promote healthy turf throughout the
community.
Now is also the time that most of you will be
starting up your irrigation systems. Once again, managing these systems is
of the utmost importance for maintaining healthy turf. Most areas throughout
the community have fixed spray heads for their sprinkler system.
It is best at this time of year to
minimize the amount of water going down on the turf. The idea is that you
want the fescue (in most cases) roots to dive deep for water. If you turn on
your clock and set it at mid summer settings, you will keep those roots at
the surface and in turn, when we get hotter temperatures in July and August,
you will see the turf begin to stress because the roots are not used to
having to dive deep to look for water. A suggested setting for the fixed
spray heads for this month is 5 minutes 3 times per week for turf zones and
4 or 5 minutes per zone for shrub beds. This is a recommendation. Depending
on weather conditions, you may need more or less time. In minimizing your
usage now, you set yourself up for a successful dry season.
If crew determines that your grass is too wet
and subject to tire damage your yard will not be mowed until the problem is
corrected. You may consult the office for a consultation to re-solve your
problem.
Thank you and enjoy the beauty of the earth
