A Note from the President Pumpkins, cool weather and falling leaves are here. Which means Thanksgiving isn’t far behind. Then national and local elections (don’t forget to vote!) and our community annual meeting and elections. As of now we do not have anybody indicating that they are running for the board. October was a busy month starting with the Ladies Luncheon Fashion Show, Bunco Pot Luck, A Night in Italy, The Greatest Show, Cary Police Scams presentation, Ladies Luncheon presentation from the Cary Senior Center and the Annual Art Show. Our thanks go out to Nancy Romano, Saundra Robinson, Diane and Dick McCarraher, Eva Germano, Judy Smith, Bob Hodes, Nancy White, Eileen Fitzger-ald and Joan Ward for orchestrating all of these GREAT events. This community is blessed with volunteers who share their talents and we are grateful.
The sign-up for the Holiday Party is coming up
this month. It is going to be at the Embassy Suites, behind the old Sam’s
Club. The Social Committee listened to your complaints about last year’s and
moved it closer to our community and also changed the band. Read the

Signup sheets will be Controlling growth around our clubhouse pond and Serenity pond
This growing season we instructed Brickman to
mow and edge to within 2 feet of the water’s edge in order to prevent
cuttings from entering the water and aggravating the control of algae. We
also wanted to not cut the pickerel plants that are spreading around the
perimeter of the clubhouse pond and hedges which are spreading around the
perimeter of Serenity pond. These aquatic plants will hopefully crowd out
other weeds and grasses and present a more attractive pond appearance.
However, once the frost and colder fall temperatures have caused the growth
in these strips to die back we have instructed Brickman to cut to the

Summer Draws to an End!?!?
FALL IS HERE!!!!!
As the long, hot, dry summer drew to an end, we

will continue to scratch and seed our bare and thin areas throughout the
community – we need your help!! Please double check that your irrigation
system is operating properly, and applying the proper amount of water. All
of the lawns that are being watered properly are seeing great results.
During November, we will also be applying our winter fertilizer to the
lawns.
Check out the mulching opportunities. We will be
mulching the common areas, and we look forward to PSD helping each of you
beautify the

have a Happy Thanksgiving
