A Note from the President The new mailbox posts have been installed – they certainly look nice. We have less than 25 left and will be ordering another 100. So if you your post looks sad, you can order a new one. We will be looking for "sad posts" in the next community inspection.
Everyone is enjoying the pool now that the hot
weather has arrived. However, despite signs on the door into the clubhouse,
we have a liability issue. People, especially children, are still coming
into the clubhouse from the pool without drying off and without wearing Keep hydrated and stay cool, Joyce Bryant
Clubhouse Events
This month the Tuesday Book Club will meet on
Tuesday, August 2, at 1:00PM. The Book selection is "March" by Geraldine
Brooks. Pat Sherman will lead the discussion.
Summer Fun Ice Cream
Social
You are invited to a double treat on Thursday,
August 4, at 3:00PM. Judith Valerie, a local storyteller, will be
entertaining us with her fascinating stories. She is originally from England
and has lived in many places around the world. Her experiences resulted in
many different adventures as she relates in her stories of many thrills.
Judith’s talents also include teaching yoga.
After storytelling, we’ll enjoy creamy ice cream
and delicious cookies. You can make a sundae or even a sandwich with the
cookies. Please join us for this fun event. Cost is $4.00 per person.
Water Aerobics
We will be having two classes in August. On MWF at 8:00am for
an advanced class and at 9:15am for an intermediate class. Dates are August
1,3,5,8,10,12,17,19, 22, 24, 26, 29, 31 & September 2. Please use sign up
sheet to register for these classes. Cost is $60.00.
Non-Fiction Book Club
No August Meeting.
Regular book club meetings will resume Sept. 20 at 7PM in the craft room of
the clubhouse. If you would like to join us for the first time, please let
Bonny or Verghese Chirayath know so they can give you the book title for
September.

We will be having an "End of Summer Party" on
Saturday, August 27. Mark your calendars for this fun event. Enjoy games
with your friends at the clubhouse and feast on ribs and chicken. There will
also be watermelon for dessert– yummy! Sign up by August 15. Cost is $11.00
Watercolor painting classes will be held on
Thursdays, Sept. 22, 29, Oct. 6 & 13, 2011 at 10 am. The concentration will
be on flowers. Registration will be in the September newsletter and will be
limited to 12 people. The cost for all four classes will be $43.00.
